Team Epsilon

May 2025 – May 2026 · FIRST Robotics Competition

Screenshot of Team Epsilon

I founded Team Epsilon, FRC Team 11100, and led it as president and lead programmer. The team brought together students from across Phoenix, from Maryvale to Scottsdale. Alongside robot programming, my work included the business plan, fundraising, team operations, website, branding, and coordinating technical work across the team.

The off-season robot's auto-alignment system used two cameras on a dedicated coprocessor to detect fiducial markers and estimate the robot's pose. I used simulation to develop the vision pipeline and control logic before the assembled robot was available, then calibrated and tuned the system on the robot.

The off-season robot competed at three Arizona Robotics League events and received a Breakthrough Award. In our first full season, we competed at the Arizona North and Utah Regionals and earned the Rookie All-Star Award at the 2026 Utah Regional. I've since moved into a mentor role.

The Bluey Jamboard

October 2025 · Makers of Change

Our Makers of Change team built a tabletop game board for a child with motor-control challenges. I programmed the Raspberry Pi games, wired large GPIO button inputs, managed power and startup, and configured the display within the custom enclosure.

The design changed from a full table to a tabletop device to fit the available time. An early balloon-popping game gave way to a multiplayer basketball game, with large controls and clear feedback for playing together. The archived portfolio records the team as a state finalist, among the top nine of more than 95 teams.

High-Altitude Weather Balloon Camera System

Started October 2025 · Engineering III–IV / E-Tech Club

I developed a camera-system prototype for a school weather-balloon payload. The design targeted long recording sessions within a four-pound payload limit, using incremental image capture rather than high-frame-rate video to reduce power and storage demands.

The working prototype recorded images from a USB camera and exposed a Flask interface for local monitoring, testing, configuration, and retrieving data. The archived report identified autonomous startup, extended runtime testing, and final camera selection as next steps. It does not document a completed flight.

Smart Vision Saw Safety System

2025 · Engineering research for AZSEF / ISEF

This research explored a low-cost camera system that could identify a hand entering a configured area near a tool and trigger a power-cutoff signal. The proposed interface let the operator define the blade region so the system could adapt to different tool geometries.

The archived plan combined embedded vision, a touchscreen configuration interface, and relay control. It proposed measuring detection accuracy, false-positive rates, and end-to-end latency with timestamped logs and video, using a low-torque mock blade for testing. The saved work was still in development; it does not establish a validated injury-prevention system.

Physics Projectile Motion Simulator

May 2025 · Physics final project

Screenshot of Physics Projectile Motion Simulator

I built this simulation to connect projectile-motion equations to visible behavior. Users could adjust launch conditions and aim interactively, then follow the projectile's trajectory and its horizontal and vertical velocity components.

Each projectile kept its own position, velocity, and path history. The implementation used time-based updates to keep motion consistent across frame rates, with controls for parameters such as force, height, and mass. The project focused on making the physics easier to inspect while it was happening.

Minecraft Server Wizard

December 2023 · CS50 final project

I designed and implemented a guided workflow for server installation, Java setup, configuration, plugin management, updates, and backups. The goal was to reduce the number of manual setup steps while keeping server settings accessible.

The tool retrieved server builds from external services, tracked plugin versions, and created timestamped backups. I added help commands and error messages, then packaged it as a standalone Windows executable with PyInstaller and documented the workflow for the CS50 submission.

Phoenix Robotics — 2023 Season Code

2023 · FIRST Robotics Competition

Before Team Epsilon, I served as lead programmer for Phoenix Robotics, FRC Team 6833. This repository preserves the competition robot software from the 2023 season. The previous portfolio records a regional win that season.

Squirrel Simulator 3.000

In repository by May 2023 · School project

Screenshot of Squirrel Simulator 3.000

This small class-project game was one of the earliest things on my website. It was created in Scratch and packaged for the browser with TurboWarp. The repository's first commit in May 2023 already contains the game; the old archive did not give a separate project date.

Password Tool

In repository by August 2023 · JavaScript learning project

Screenshot of Password Tool

I built this tool while teaching myself JavaScript, combining password generation with strength feedback. It is retained here as an early programming exercise. The old project card did not list a date; the files are present in the August 2023 site snapshot.

A Website For School

In repository by August 2023 · Class assignment

Screenshot of A Website For School

This class assignment used separate pages for math, English, science, art, and Spanish. The original site combined coursework with the informal writing and jokes of that period. It remains available in the historical source rather than being presented as current portfolio work.
